Janus Hassildor were in his office in the Palace, filing out paper to be sent to his loyal soldiers that was part of the D'hara army which are 40% of the army. He was the only one who could fix the pieces with the death of Lord Rahl. He was one of the few loyal generals to the Lord Rahl and holds the most power in D'hara other then the Lord Rahl. Janus drop the pen next to his stacks of paper, his hands were starting to hurt for writing to much. Janus slowly breathes out his lips he then cracks his knuckles.
"Our enemies can use this time of leaderless, to attack us. I must stand strong; my army must scout the lands keeping peace."
Janus thought
"The Mord-Sith is fighting among themselves, they are great servants to the House of Rahl. But without a Lord Rahl to lead them, they are just pathetic."
Janus then stand up from his chair and walk to the window, every step he made a cracking sound was heard from the floor. His eyes gaze across the People's Palace seeing the commoners going about their daily business. Not even affected by the death of Lord Rahl. A servant then walks in the room.
"My Lord, you sent for me?"
Janus without even turning around spoke with a calm voice. "Their are papers on my desk"
He spoke out loud
"There also are a dotted map on the table. Each is mark with a name and so is each paper. I want you to go to those D’hara military camps and send them to their commanding officer. Tell them, I sent you and that the Dawn is breaking. They will let you see their officers. If you don't tell them that exact, then you will die."
The servant nodded
"As you wish, Milord."
The servant then took the papers and the map and then left the room. Janus still looking out the window, examining every face he sees.

"How interesting, wonder what the Mord-Sith are during, probably still debating. They are so useless without a Lord Rahl. Wonder what the Seeker is doing, my soldiers are posted everywhere in this city he wouldn't even be able to walk in without magic."
Janus talks to him as he still looks out the window, his right hand place upon the hilt of his sword.
"There no heir to the Throne of D’Hara; wonder what will the Lord Rahl have me do. Not really have a free mind in this matter always doing what his Lordship wants me to do."
Janus then begins to think, and then snarl after thinking of the outcome of what he needs to do.
"Need the damn Mord-Sith to get back it leadership, the true servants of the Lord Rahl. Having the Mord-Sith under control, they will be order in the ranks of the military. And the Seeker will die, and his head platter above the throne and his body put on a pike in front of the People Palace."
Janus then start chuckle and then order one of the guards outside his door who are guarding his room. To come to him, the guardsman then looks at Janus.
"You summon me General? What can I assist you with?"
The Guardsman asks overeager, Janus turn around to look at the soldier.
"Get me a Mord-Sith from the palace, and bring her to me quickly. I have things I need to do and need the Mord-Sith helps to bring order within D'Hara and find an heir to the House of Rahl. Tell no one on what you are doing, thus if you do expect me cutting your head off. Tell a Mord-Sith that I sent you, understood?"
Janus spoke in a deep voice, his eyes glaring at the soldier. He grips the hilt even tighter.
"Yes, General I will make haste. It will not take long."
The soldier replies, he then bow and then left the room and close the door behind him. Janus then turns around and looks back out the window with a devious smirk upon his face.

The first Mord-Sith that the guardsman was able to find was Vivianne. The blonde was in the process of breaking on of her trainees, a young girl of about 12. She was actually very nearly finished her training; Vivianne expected that she'd have her leathers within the next week.
When the guardsman found her, Vivianne looked at him questioningly. "Do you have orders for me?" she asked briskly.
The guardian nodded, then quickly explained that General Hassildor had requested the services of a Mord-Sith. Vivianne had never been summoned by the D'Haran general before, or at least, not without her other sisters. Nevertheless, her training kicked in, quickly stifling any apprehension she might have felt. Still, a higher-ranking Mord-Sith might be more to the general's liking, so she turned to the trainee.
"Jade, you will wait here until Mistress Denna returns. Tell her that General Hassildor requests her presence. Until then, I will see if I can be of assistance to him." Telling the girl to wait was almost pointless, because, of course, she was chained to the wall. But Vivianne liked to let the girls believe that they had some say in the matter.
Turning back to the guard, she nodded at him. "Take me to the General."
Silently, she followed him to the General's office, moving stiffly down the winding corridors. Her leather squeaked with each movement, a sound Vivianne had learned to love. It was the mark of her station.
At last they reached the office. The guard knocked lightly, then opened the door, stepping aside to allow Vivianne to pass. Vivianne bowed. "My lord. How can I serve you?"

Janus was waiting patiently for his guard to get the Mord-Sith but as usual he hates waiting. Then finally a knock were heard upon his door a soft sigh came from his lips. He were a little happy that the patience have went away, he then turn around and look upon the Mord-Sith and then walk to the woman.
"I am not your lord, Mord-Sith. So you do not call me that, I prefer general actually. But anyway....."
Janus look upon the woman, the Mord-Sith are as beautiful as they are dangerous. He shrugs at the thought he rather not get torture.
"As you are well known, our Lord Rahl have died. The seeker somehow lives.... pitiful I know. But I have a task for the Mord-Sith, they need to stop their bickering and pick a leader already."
He spoke as he have distaste for the Mord-Sith in which he don't, he just hate when people in a time without a leader that then they start fighting among themselves.
"So miss, tell me with haste who are the Mord-Sith that are competing to become I guess the Head Mord-Sith.?"
Janus asks her, his hand gripping his sword hilt as he waits to hear the Mord-Sith words.

"Of course, General," Vivianne corrected herself quickly.
Since Lord Rahl's death, Vivianne wasn't quite sure what to do with herself. She needed a leader; she was not as strong as many of the other Mord-Sith and she needed someone to follow and obey. Some of the higher ranking Mord-Sith had filled that role, but she needed a master. She needed Lord Rahl.
"After Lord Rahl's death, Mistress Denna returned to the Mord-Sith," Vivianne replied carefully. "She and Mistress Dahlia are competing to be leader of the Mord-Sith."
She kept her tone neutral. In truth, she didn't care who ended up as the leader of the Mord-Sith, just as long as someone did.

Janus then nodded and then walk back to the window and look back at the city.
"Tell me this, will you. Who are winning, Denna or Dahlia?"
Janus ask her, hoping that the debate in the Mord-Sith would be over. He didn't had time, his army wasn't big to keep order in D'Hara. Janus is so use of the Lord Rahl wisdom he were more useful on the front line then administration.
"Wait what do you mean Denna return to you after our Lord death?"
He ask with suspicious about how the Mord-Sith say that. Is she saying that this Denna wasn't around in the Mord-Sith that she only return when the Lord Rahl died? Where was her then? Why she came back now? Questions that he ask himself waiting to hear the mord-sith. He were almost impatience into waiting and just wanted to hear it now. He grip his sword's hilt even tighter.

Vivianne felt a flash of anger at herself. She thought it was known that Denna had not returned to the Mord-Sith right away after failing to get the Box of Orden from the Pristinely Ungifted One. Some of the other Mord-Sith were suspicious of her because of this, but Vivianne refused to participate in gossip. This was why the Mord-Sith were fighting among themselves. Some thought Denna was a failure or was disloyal to Lord Rahl, so they sided with Dahlia. The infighting was pretty bad, actually, and Vivianne was often pressured to decide who to support. Vivianne didn't care and was trying her best to remain neutral.
"There was an... incident, General. Denna failed in a mission, and she did not return for a time. It doesn't matter, she is stronger than ever now. I do not know who will will, Sir... the Mord-Sith are divided."

Janus nodded and then turns around and looks at the Mord-Sith.
"What is your name, Mord-Sith? I'm getting tired of keep calling you Mord-Sith"
Janus says to her as he walks to the Mord-Sith, the floor creak with each step he make. He though about what she says about Denna failing a mission and now she has returns he then smirk about that. Janus though that the Lord Rahl have banish her from failing a mission but he guest that this is the second time. And now since the Lord Rahl died, this Denna must believes that she can return easily control the Mord-Sith and perhaps rule D'Hara as it Queen. If that is the case then she will have a hard time conquering the People's Palace with Janus' troops in it and himself still living. But alas the Mord-Sith are great soldiers and vital to the salvation of D'Hara. Janus then stop a few foots from the Mord-Sith, he glare at her his eyes showing nothingness but a small smirk came across his face.

Denna walked through the halls of the People's Palace, her mind working furiously. Since she returned when word of Lord Rahl's death reached her, most of the Mord-Sith had not taken kindly to her reappearance. She knew that was because she failed in obtaining the Third Box of Orden, but that was only a hiccup. They all knew how much Lord Rahl prized her above the rest of them. She felt she deserved a sliver of respect, at least.
Her biggest problem at the minute was Dahlia. If she somehow got rid of her, then it would be easier to take control of the Mord-Sith and help General Janus restore order. She didn't want the throne of D'Hara for herself, it wasn't her place. But she needed to think of something before it was too late.

"Vivianne, sir," she replied quickly, much as a solider would do when asked for name, rank, and serial number.
She said nothing more, as she watched him walk toward her. He was a very attractive man, and if he were not her superior, she would have been very interested in him for other reasons. But he was a general, and in the absence of a Lord Rahl to follow, he was the closest thing to a ruler of D'Hara. That is, unless the rumors were true.
Some of the Mord-Sith were claiming that the reason Cara left the Mord-Sith and was now working with the Seeker, was because she believed that he was the true heir. Vivianne didn't know what to think of this outrageous rumor--that Richard Cypher was actually Richard Rahl. But there was one odd thing--if the House of Rahl had left no heir, then the agiels would have lost all power. Since they still worked, there had to be an heir somewhere... and maybe it was Richard Cypher after all.
"Mistress Dahlia is away for a few days, gathering new recruits," Vivianne spoke up, mostly to cover the fact that her breathing had quickened under the man's severe gaze. "But I left message for Mistress Denna that you may require her presence when she is available."

"Well Miss Vivianne, I hope this debate between the Mord-Sith will end soon, or I will get in the conflict. And I promise you this if we get a new Lord Rahl he will be shock that I have broken the Mord-Sith"
Janus voice thunder with fear and death it were almost that he were certain and by Janus's military skill he were able to do the exact thing. Janus then crosses his arms before Vivianne's mention about Denna.
Janus asked Vivianne, he didn't care who win. Only that whoever wins can pull the Mord-Sith together so that Janus can better restore order in the lands of D'Hara. As of now Janus will serve as the De-Facto Ruler of D'Hara, but himself didn't believe himself to be a ruler. He was just a general leading the armies of D'Hara for peace, order and to protect the lands from all enemies. He then broke out of thought and then look at the woman Vivianne and he start to think about what he learn about the Mord-Sith.
One of the reasons that Janus wants the seeker to die because of that talk, the Lord Rahl had with him about the Seeker. And Janus vow that he will never let anyone sit on the Throne of D'Hara without being a true heir of the House of Rahl. But he know that the powers of the Mord-Sith is connect to the blood of the Rahls if one is still alive then it are a heir to the throne of D'Hara. But if that heir is the seeker then well he just have to think of something.

Alya walked quickly down a hallway of the People’s Palace, shoving aside the occasional D’Haran unlucky enough to be in her way. A rumour had reached her a few minutes ago that General Janus had sent for a Mord-Sith, and the Mord-Sith had actually responded and gone to his room. Several thoughts were presenting themselves in her head, including thoughts of the late Darken Rahl and the now empty throne of D’Hara. Turning left at an intersection, she saw guards standing outside the general’s room. She measured them up quickly, taking in the size and likely speed of each one. She looked down at her Agiel, even though she already knew it was there, and started down the hallway towards the door to the general’s room.

Her mind still working, Denna continued her blind walk through the palace. She had lost track of where she was going, but didn't natter. There just has to be a solution...then she thought of it. Her feet stopped moving. She had heard the rumours...but she would need some help...oh, but it was perfect. Almost too good to be true. Grinning wickedly, she continued down the hallway she had moved into, not noticing the other leather-clad form there. She was soon knocked out of her reverie when she nearly walked into the other Mord-Sith, but she smiled when she saw which one it was. "Sister Alya."

Alya's walk towards the general's room was interrupted by a familiar voice. She turned to face the other Mord-Sith. She looked into blue eyes, searching them for any sign of unfriendliness before she replied. "Sister Denna. Did you need something?" she asked, perhaps a bit more abruptly than she intended.
