Rose quietly made her way down to the kitchens. It was the middle of the night, and she didn't encounter anybody, save the guards that were on patrol. But they didn't dare give a Mord-Sith any trouble. Her hair was loose, finally free from the tight braid that restrained it every day. There was a preminant wave to it now, something that Rose found to be pretty in a way. She had shed her armor, and only wore the leather pants and top of her Mord-Sith uniform. She kept her ageil on her, just in case something were to happen.
She opened the kitchen door quietly, and shut it behind her. The only light came from the candle she held in her right hand. She looked around, searching for the treat she had heard was waiting in here. She set the candle down on a table, and began searching through the food coupboards. It wasn't in the first or the second one, but she found her prize in the third one: Strawberries. Rose hadn't had Strawberries since she had been taken from her family as a child. She brought down the basket and set it on the table. She picked up the first one and took a bite of it. The taste was exquisite! She knew she couldn't eat them all, someone would get suspicious, but she was determined to savor every bite that she could afford to have.

Alya was walking down a dark corridor, lost in memories from her past when she saw a flicker of light coming from a kitchen room. Her long braid was somewhat messy from sleep, but she was wide awake. Curious, she followed the light to its source. She saw a Mord-Sith she had seen before, but had never really talked to doing something. She could see a basket on the table.
"Hello?" she said, wondering what a Mord-Sith was doing in the kitchens past midnight.

Rose nearly jumped out of her leathers when someone spoke behind her. She hadn't been expecting anybody, and the woman's voice had delivered quite a shock. Rose swallowed the bite of strawberry she was chewing, then turned to look at whoever spoke to her. It was another Mord-Sith, there for reasons Rose didn't know. "I could ask you the same thing," she said, using a tone of voice that she had heard her mistress use countless times before. If she was lucky, this girl was one of the new recruits, meaning that Rose was the authority. She carefully draped the cloth back over the basket of fruit. "It's the middle of the night. What are you doing out of bed? Who is your mistress?" Rose wasn't used to being the authority figure, but she would if she had to and if it meant getting out of trouble.

(( Mind if I jump in, Rose? Just to keep you from boredom. )) Denna was hungry. She was exhausted from a day if torturing her trainee, and there was hardly any time for a break. She needed some form of sustenance, and she was beginning to doubt that she would let the cooks feel her Agiel, no matter what it was. As she came to the door leading to the kitchens, she noticed it was open. She quietly walked in and recognised a Mord-Sith sitting with her back to her. "Hello there," she said. She didn't want to sound threatening in case it was a sister she was on good terms with.

Alya sighed at the tone of voice used by the strange Mord-Sith. Why did everyone in this palace just assume anyone they met was looking for trouble?
'I haven't had a mistress in years, for your information,' she said. Nobody was going to intimidate her. 'I was merely taking a walk in the castle and I happened to hear you.' At the sound of Denna's voice she quickly turned around.
'Sister Denna.' She inclined her head in greeting. 'Can we help you?'
