Personality (at least four sentences): Vivianne is cold and heartless, like any good Mord-Sith. But she's also secretly insecure. She's not as smart as many of the other Mord-Sith, and she's really only good at following orders. If her orders don't go as planned, she freezes up and doesn't know what to do until new orders are given. This is her biggest weakness as a Mord-Sith and she is often punished for her lack of ingenuity.
The other thing she is good at is using her looks to manipulate men. Often when she breaks a man, she barely has to torture him to get him to bend to her will. This is the only thing she ever has to fall back on when things don't go according to plan. But even that doesn't always work in her favor.
She actually carries a lot of guilt, but she'll never let anyone see it. It's not a Mord-Sith's way to feel such weak emotions as guilt or grief.
When the punishment calls for imprisonment, she falls apart. She suffers severe claustrophobia, going all the way back before she was taken as a Mord-Sith, when she and her father hid in a cramped space for a very long time, trying to escape the D'Haran armies that attacked their village. When she was taken by the Mord-Sith, she was broken fairly easily because of this disability... she couldn't stand being in the dungeon, so she did whatever she was told to get out.
History (at least four sentences): Vivianne was born in a small village near Brennidon. She and her family were close, and it was a peaceful town, until the village was attacked by D'Harans when she was only 3 years old. She and her father hidden in a small storage area under the floorboards of their house. There was only room for two of them there, and Vivianne's mother and brother were hiding in a closet. After being stuck in that small space for nearly 10 hours, the D'Harans burst in. They searched the house and found her mother and brother in the closet, brutally murdering them while Vivianne and her father could do nothing but listen. Since then she has had terrible claustrophobia.
For a time, Vivianne and her father lived peacefully, grieving for the loss of their family, but holding tight to each other. As she grew older, it became obvious that Vivianne would be a great beauty. When rumors of the Mord-Sith taking girls from their family came to the town, her father tried to hide her and lock her in the house, but she couldn't stay in an enclosed space again. She wandered out, just to get a peek at the sunset. That was when the Mord-Sith took her.
Though the claustrophobia tortured her, she never screamed about it. Her father had taught her never to show her fear. This served her well, although if the Mord-Sith had known of her claustrophobia, they would have never allowed her to become a Mord-Sith.
She endured the training as well as one could expect, and when the final test came, she gave in to her need to be out of the dungeon, and killed her father. She still holds a lot of guilt about this even now, but she'll never admit it.
Since then, she as become a loyal, but imperfect Mord-Sith. She does the best she can with the orders she is given, and tries not to stand out among the other girls.
