The stories of the angels are as old as time itself. They are present in our oldest books, alongside magic. They grace us with their presence, some even live with the royal family in the castle. They are revered more than any other being or creature. We, mere mortals, are required to serve. Even the king listens to the requests of the Host. As far as everyone is concerned, they do no harm. It is an honor to be chosen by an angel to become one of them and according to legend, if they dare sin their wings are torn from them and they are returned to a mortal life.
The legends are wrong.
I have seen what they do, these angels. They have murdered, lied, cheated, stolen, and they are protected from it all. To speak against them is treason, but if one of them denies to take part in this legacy of treachery, they are thrown to the earth. Our heavenly leaders cannot risk an uprising amongst their own ranks. But they have cast too many down from their ranks. The Fallen are swelling in number and they are spreading the tales among the townspeople of Camelot. Some listen, but not enough. Even more see this as an opportunity to become a member of the angels' ranks and begin committing crimes. They risk everything, for if they are caught by the king before the angels, they will be put to death. We are approaching a cataclysmic battle between good and evil, something that has been growing for years, and there is nothing we can do to stop it.
