Marcios just stared abck and stayed silent for what seemed like an eternity until he finally wet his lips and looked at Cara.
"To be frank, you have not won the title of Lady by your behavior. Your acting more or less like an over protective and over boding hen then you are a fine Lady. Beleive me, i've seen many woman and you do have the figure of the best."
He then looked at Richard and nodded.
"Let me reassure you that we do not kill simply to kill. That is always a last resort for us. We try and give the people the support and strength to stand up for themselves and let them make their own decisions, but sometimes a hand needs to make a simple push. I can asure you that in your presence, I would not spill a single drop of blood. Unless I was given no other choice."
He stood back up and brushed himself off and sighed.
"Again, the decision is yours, though i'll still be following you even if you tell me no thanks. To make your decision easier, i'll simply have my men take my orders for me. I can also direct them to other parts and gather more information. Though if you'd be kiind enough to tell the Mord Sith to stand down as well as her friend. I think i've shown more then enough contorl to be trusted enough that i'm not here to kill any of you."
He crossed his arms and paced a bit.
"As you well know, if a Hashashin wants you dead, you really don't know their on you until either they make a mistake, which is rare, or they already have plunged a blade into your back or chest. The simply fact i've made myself presnted to you means i'm not here to target any of you. Also, even though my master has given orders, I like to follow my own rules. Killing is...so..."
He waved his hand in the air like as if to wave off the idea.
"so old fashioned. You have your quick deaths, your slow poison induced deaths and then just simply knocking someone out. Though I can say i've never shown an ounce of disrespect for my targets. I close their eyes and say a small prayer for their passage to the afterlife. Resquiste En Pache are the words I utter, and sometimes my targets have thanked me. That..that right there hits me very hard. For as Hashsahin, emotions are a major role in our play. We must control them, but we must also use them."
He stopped and looked to Richard.
"So Seeker, Richard Raul, or the quite possible future Lord Raul, will you have me, or will I have to follow you around in the shadows instead?"

The more he spoke, the less Cara liked him. It wasn't even his disrespectful treatment of her that bothered her, although it certainly didn't help. Perhaps they had started off on the wrong foot, or perhaps their different stations and personalities would never see eye-to-eye, but whatever the reason, Cara resolved never to turn her back on the man. Even if Richard told her to stand down and accepted the man's services, she intended to keep an eye on him.
"My duty is to protect the Lord Rahl," she said coldly, narrowing her eyes at him. "Would you have me be so lax as to trust every stranger who wanders in from the forest? If I am overprotective, then I am only doing my job."
But she lowered her agiel, at least, and nodded to Rose that she should do the same. They would still watch him, but at least they should be more subtle about it.

Richard saw how Cara stared at the man as he spoke and realized that the two of them would be fire and water when she spoke back at him defending her position,he couldn't say anything against what she was saying in general because she was right but what Marcios said he didn't like and he said after Cara spoke to him,
"She is not over protective of me the Mord Sith were trained to protect their lord till death that is why they are like this .They were trained to do this job and kill whoever got to close were asked to kill to protect,and if you only knew half the hell they go throw to be Mord-Sith you would think again before saying those things.From my part it would best for the two of you to get to know you and do your jobs,she is here to protect me let her do it until you let her see that you can be trusted "looking at Cara Richard then said,"Let him be himself and explain what he came here for and let me see if we let him come with us or not without provoking is this a good peace agreement for the time being?'
Richard then looked back at Marcios and replied to what he told him about is profession,"I do believe you when you tell me that you kill as a last resort voice sounded truthful candid as you spoke,and as for what you try to give people that is my goal also to give them and yes I do fight as a last resort also and for good reason and I do not want to spill blood needlessly."
Richard half smiled at Marcios second comment and said,"You really are stubborn and you do want to follow me there isn't anything to say or do to to get you out of this mission you took upon yourself you truly believe in what you can do to help me and my cause to save the people of D'Hara and the territory's surrounding the country."
At the last comment Richard sallowed hard as he look closely at Marcios if he could see any deception in is words but nothing.He wished Kahlan was here she would help him but he had good instincts and nodded and said to Marcios,"I believe when you say that if you had the intention or any of your men to kill us they and yourself would've tried.
Looking at Marcios then at Cara,Rose and Selene he crossed is arms on is chest and made a thoughtful expression as he walked a couple of paces looking at everyone nodding he then stopped and put is hands on is belt and said,"Alright you can come with us but let the woman do their job of protecting me until they feel that you can be trustworthy by their standard even if I know you won't try to kill me the first chance you get.Maybe they will see that you do not want to kill me and that you want to help,the same as they do to me.looking at Cara,Rose and Selena he hoped he would have peace until they got to know each other better as the days went by.

Marcios nodded and put his hands behind his back and looked up at the sky.
"I'll respect the woman for now, and i'll do what i can to gain their trust, but I cannot go about proving myself over and over and over. Eventually they will either trust me, or they just never will."
Marcios sat down but kept his distance from teh group for now as he took an aple out of his cloak and muntched on it.
"i have more food stored away, tyhat is if you trust me enough to not hand over poisoned food."
He said with a chuckle as he took antoher bite.
"Also, if it's not too much trouble, the next city we happen pon, I need to stop in the local Brothel. no i'm not going in for the woman there, i'm going in to meet an informant. She'll have some local intel and possible intel about folks who ahve passed through."
He smiled.

The presence of a new ally sounded promising. But not everything is what they seem, whoever this man was he was surely determined to stick with Richard no matter where the Seeker went. And if this is the case then this stranger was a man who followed orders to the letter, this was a good trait to have. But this guy was quite confident and perhaps he was a little overconfident, this could be a big weakness in battle as those with this trait sometimes either show off or merely losses focus allowing them to be open for an attack. Quietly she kept her focus as Selena watched the conversation between the so called Marcios and the man that was to be her leader Richard.
Not once did she move from her spot or lower her guard in front of Marcios. While watching her sister and the Mord Sith known only as Rose she soon heard the kind words from Richard which literally made the fires of life inside her burn brighter and stronger then it had ever been, she felt grateful to Richard after hearing more about the sister she never had. Still it was a great feeling and once again she merely smirked in appreciation but stood her ground like an immovable mountain guarding the lands beyond its height.
It was then at the decision was made for Marcios to join the team on condition that he doesn’t kill anyone. There is old saying that there are strength in numbers which was a good move for Richard but it was hard to trust Marcios as he was just too proud with himself and even asked to visit a tavern to find some information, was it really his way to get to Richard? Or was he really here to aid the Seeker. All Selena could do was help Richard and Cara against any threat that came there way. But the question remained where do they go from here?
That didn’t really matter as everything seemed to have calmed down. But Selena was always on guard even when peace reigns over a camp site for a while, she was raised as warrior and that was the path she had chosen. Being as still as a statue her eyes were like a hawk as it watched its prey to make a move, but it seemed that his next move was to eat, luckily Selena came prepared. Without saying anything she remained focus but gripped her sword tightly in her hands as she watched the events unfold.

Rose did exactly as she was told, and slowly and painstakingly put her ageil away. It was the last thing she wanted to do. The thought of the assasin being anywhere near Richard made her skin crawl with nerves. For all she knew, he was lying straight through his teeth and was actually here to murder Richard on Darken Rahl's orders. Her hand twitched towards her ageil as the assassin talked of killing. She clenched and unclenched her hand repeatedly, trying to fight of the urge to take it and beat the assassin senseless with it.
She didn't. She wouldn't do anything without Cara's permission or being ordered to. But if things didn't change soon, she would ask Cara and Richard's permission to leave, at least temporarily. She needed to go and check her temper. She didn't want to embarass them if she were to do something rash. The other woman, Cara's sister, was looking as tense as Rose felt. Perhaps she could catch a minute to talk to her.
Rose said nothing, letting the events unfold, always alert and waiting for any sign that Richard was being threatened. She didn't drop her guard for a second.

The tension in the air was still so thick Cara could have stabbed it with her agiel. Only Richard seemed at ease, but then Cara always thought Richard was too trusting.
"I was about to go hunt for some food before we were interrupted," Cara said at last, her tone still wary and her eyes never leaving Marcios. "We need meat. Rose, can you fish? Maybe you and Richard could go to the river and catch some fish."
Cara had intended to do it herself, but she had vowed not to take her eyes off of Marcios. Of course, there was always the question of whether she could trust Rose, or, for that matter, even Selena. But Cara, though not trusting by nature or training, did have good instincts. Rose had come to them at great personal risk and given them crucial information. And now that Rose knew Richard was the true Lord Rahl, she was duty-bound to defend him. Cara felt certain, as much as she ever could, that Rose could be trusted with Richard. And Rose and Richard left, it would give Cara an opportunity to talk with Selena. They would not be alone, but it was the closest she was likely to get for a while.

Richard looked on as Marcios replied to what he asked of him if he still wanted to stay with the group and said to what Marcios said about proving himself ,"You won't if you you do what your here to do and the woman won't be on the defensive"giving Cara a smile and to Rose also,"Ladies you will give the man benefit of the dought won't you?"
Looking back at Marcios Richard nodded at is offer for the food Marcios had and said,"That I wouldn't say no to star a good faith on both part I wouldn't mind eating what you have."
Richard looked down at the man and asked him,"That is interesting what kind of Intel are we talking about?"
As Richard waited for Marcios to reply to is question he glanced at Selena if she was doing alright,at first sight she seemed alright but by her expression he was hoping that she was alright and that Cara would eventually talk to her and he would have a chat in due time.
Making sure that Rose was alright he felt how nervous she was why he wasn't sure of the reasons maybe because of Marcios and what he was and smiled to himself to see how Cara and Rose took their job of protecting him seriously and it was heart warming to know they really cared for him.
Richard turned is head to look at Cara and replied,"Sure why not and you would go hunting with Marcios and Selena and get to know each other"looking at Cara,Marcios then Selena.

Marcios nodded and pointed to a near by bush.
"I put a satchel there before alking in here. You'll find some fruits and vegetables that you've porbably never laid your eyes on. Being a traveler tends to open me to new worlds of food. Also as for the informant. I can say she may have information on rescent army activity, or simply the local events. Either way, any information can be helpful."
He looked at the others and tilted his head.
"Fishing, hunting? I get the feleign these two would rather nto have me aorund for the time being."

"That hasn't stopped you so far," Cara said curtly, raising an eyebrow at him. "No, if I'm going hunting, you're coming with me, because you're not leaving my sight."
Of course, that would obviously make hunting rather difficult, if she was focusing on Marcios and not on her prey. Just the same, she wasn't going to change her mind. She did not trust Marcios, and she was not going to take her eyes from him.
"The three of us will go hunting," she said, glancing at Selena. It was a silent message to her sister that she hoped the girl would understand--she was going to need her help, not only with the hunting, but with keeping an eye on the stranger.
Looking back at Marcios, she continued, "Maybe you can prove your trustworthiness to me. But I promise you, if you make one move that I don't like, you will pay for it."

A new ally had been found in the assassin Marcios. But his loyalty to the group was still in question although Richard believed that he was loyal Cara on the other hand was not quite convinced. And she was not alone as Selena was also thinking the same thing, he didn’t explain who his master was and why he was so interested in Richard. And what his true motives where, it could even be a trap to lure Richard into a difficult position. But what ever the case will be Selena was going to prove that she was indeed the younger sister to Cara the Mord Sith, and now it seems Richard suggested that she, Cara and Marcios do some hunting to gather food. It was the perfect chance to get to know Cara while at the same time keeping an eye on Marcios for anything suspicious, deep down she looked forward to it.
As Cara looked over towards Selena she simply nodded to her. Placing her sword back into the hilt Selena then shrugged off her hooded shawl like robe and simply placed it in the saddle bag as her horse gently trotted over to her, wearing just her silver coloured tunic she gently rubbed the nose of Amity her horse and she simply walked over to stand next to Cara and nodded. Selena knew that Cara can handle herself but this was not only a chance to talk to Cara privately but she could even keep an eye on Marcios after all two heads are better then one.
Although as quiet as a small lake Selena simply stood ready to go off hunting and aid her sister in keeping an eye on Marcios. Inside her heart she was kind of excited while at the same time she was very nervous, at least Richard would be safe while he was in the care of Rose. The other Mord Sith seemed loyal to Richard, but still all Selena could do was assist Cara and Marcios in doing some hunting.

Marcios simply sighed and waited to see where they headed to follow as he waited patiently and quietly. Though he was already analyzing the group as he watched them. Somehting Richard and Cara might pick up on as he stood there looking at them. hsi eyes also looked around the environment as he looked this way and that and smirked to himself.

It was lucky for him that Cara had not seen him smirking, or she might have used her agiels on him. She already did not trust the man who called himself Marcios, and any little step out of line would be cause enough for her to attack him.
"Marcios, you will stay close to me," she said, turning to him. "Selena, you keep watch from behind. There must be some deer in these woods, so tread quietly, and hopefully we can catch one."
Even as she walked with Marcios and Selena, however, her mind was still on Richard. She trusted Rose, but only to a point. She knew that the other Mord-Sith, now that she knew Richard was the true Lord Rahl, would defend her with her life... but Cara was never entirely comfortable with letting Richard out of her sight.

Marcios just ekpt silent as he followed. Somethign to him just didn't feel right but he wasn't going to speak, not until he had a better grasp of the situation.

Cara was everything that Selena had heard about. She was just like her adopted brother, confident, but focused at the same time. And her leadership skills made her Selena feel proud to be her sister, now she had a chance to get to know her but at the moment Marcios was on her mind. Standing tall she followed Marcios and Cara but calmly and quietly kept an eye out for anything behind them
A few years before he died Selena's adopted brother once told her to trust in herself and follow her heart. Right now her heart was saying to be alert at all times especially around someone like Marcios, he seemed to be someone who simply enjoys showing off. This made Selena even more focused on not only finding a deer to hunt but to keep an eye on the so-called Marcios.
