[/center]Back in 1935, an Austrian physicist by the name of Erwin Schrodinger came up with an experiment. In it, it was assumed that if you put a cat in a box with radioactive material and a device that would release poison when the radiation reached a certain point, that at one point the cat would be both alive and dead. Of course, because of the nature of this experiment, it became one of nothing more than thinking through it rather than actually trying it. That is, until two years ago.
In 2011, some scientists decided to ultimately use the experiment. They tested the experiment on a mass scale, using well over one hundred cats. They were caught and punished by the government, but not until after over half the cats had died. What happened to the other half? Now that’s where it gets interesting. The other half lived, surprisingly. They were run through vets, every test known, and they came up healthy. They were sent to an animal shelter to be put up for adoption.
They never made it. The transport vehicle got into an accident, and most of the cages broken open. The cats escaped, fleeing to the wild. They, naturally, reproduced. The kittens, unlike their parents, were far from normal. They contained bright, vibrant colors in their coats, or strange growths. Some even had both. Eventually, though, their numbers grew and fights broke out. They split into two clans; the Aduro and the Acerbus. They’re in an uneasy peace now, but it won’t take much to tip the scales into a full out war.
